1, Paint Maintenance
Long-term exposure to sunlight and strong ultraviolet radiation in summer will accelerate the aging and oxidation of car paint. In addition, there is a lot of rain in summer, and the acidic substances in the rain will cause different degrees of corrosion to the car paint, causing the car paint to gradually lose its luster.
In autumn, there is more dew in the morning and evening, and the surface of the forklift is often very wet. If the car body has obvious scratches, it should be sprayed in time to prevent the scratched parts from being damp and rusted.
2, Tire Maintenance
First of all, it is necessary to pay attention to whether the forklift uses solid tires or pneumatic tires. In autumn, the temperature is relatively low, and the pneumatic tires should be properly supplemented with air pressure to keep them within the specified air pressure range.
In summer, the surface temperature is too high, and the tires rub against the ground for a long time. As a result, the friction contact surface is reduced, and the vehicle is easy to deviate, so it is necessary to check the wear degree of the tire pattern in time and replace the new tire.
Check the tires for scratches, because the rubber is easy to harden and appear brittle in autumn and winter, the tires are easy to leak, and even puncture the tires, and the inclusions in the tread should be cleaned frequently.
3, Battery Maintenance
Be sure to check the battery and clean up the green oxide at the electrode wiring in time, otherwise there will be a shortage of motor power and even cause the battery to be scrapped.
The battery should be kept clean and dry to avoid leakage. If there is liquid in the battery box, it must be sucked out with a straw immediately. If the battery box is found to be damaged, it should be repaired immediately to protect the outer box from corrosion.
*Pure water supplement for lead-acid battery:
①It is recommended to carry out the operation in the middle and late stage of battery charging, when the volume of electrolyte is most expanded.
② Regularly observe and measure the height of the electrolyte liquid level, the liquid level should be kept within the specified standard range, not too low or too high.
③If it is too high, it will easily cause the electrolyte to overflow when the battery is charged, causing the loss of sulfuric acid, corroding the box and polluting the environment.
④If the liquid level is too low, the electrolyte will be exposed on the battery plates, and the plates will be oxidized when they come into contact with the air, which will seriously affect the life of the battery.
4, Brake Maintenance
Check if the tire screws are loose and fall off in time, and tighten the screws.
In autumn, the temperature difference between day and night is large, which can easily lead to the expansion, contraction and deformation of the body parts. It is necessary to frequently check whether the brakes are weakened or deviate, and whether the pedaling force of the pedals has changed, and adjust the sensitivity.
Check and replace forklift brake fluid, pay attention to select brake fluid with good low temperature fluidity and low water absorption, and prevent water from mixing.
5, Chassis Maintenance
Whether the forklift chassis parts are properly maintained is directly related to various key performances such as the safety and maneuverability of the forklift operation, and should not be taken lightly.
The status of the forklift chassis should be checked regularly to find out whether there are problems such as oil leakage and abnormal noise. The steering axle should be greased frequently, and the bearings should be checked for damage or lack of oil. If they are damaged, replace them in time.
